Over 2 million man-hours in 2006 (since September 2004) without any Lost Time Accident (LTA).
DDEPL actively implements a safety program to prevent accidents with a clear and aggressive target entitled Zero Accident.
Within the framework of this program a supervisor is assigned to plan, document, coordinate and monitor all aspects related to safety, all employees and staff receive orientation and in-process training and annually promise in writing adherence to principles, weekly toolbox meetings are held, signs to promote continuous awareness are displayed, a material incentive scheme to enhance the effectiveness of the safety program is implemented.
DDEPL has been certified to OHSAS 18001:1999 as of August 2003. It is within DDEPL short term business plans to be in compliance with and certified to ISO 14001.
